The Interaction Management Class was excellent. Being a new principal, the class was extremely helpful in assisting me with skills that are essential in leadership. I have already used some of the strategies that we learned and practiced in the workshop.

The Summer Leadership Training I participated in was Coaching for School Improvement with Dr. Underhill and Dr. Pomerantz. The training was interactive and engaging. As a new principal, it is important to maintain a balance between leading and coaching. The training provided me with strategies and resources to do this effectively.

I thoroughly enjoyed the presentations regarding Differentiated Accountability and Response to Intervention. All of facilitators did a fantastic job infusing both policy and practical best practices application for school success.

I attended the Interaction Management - Essentials of Leadership workshop. Although I took this SREB a few years ago, with my new position as principal, the information was very useful and beneficial.

I felt that the Zero Tolerance component of the Summer Leadership Academy was very beneficial. Listening to the two young students speak of their experiences with being at-risk and the impact that their administrators had on their future made all of the information shared extremely relevant. Thank you for the opportunity! It put our daily decisions into perspective.

The summer leadership academy allows school leaders a chance to learn the latest on various topics. The instructors were extremely knowledgeable and eager to share. As usual, it was another productive session.

I really enjoyed Designing Assessments to Inform Instruction. The facilitator was very knowledgeable and provided great articles and activities. I also enjoyed having an electronic version of all the materials on the pen. Technology is wonderful! :-)

The general information regarding Zero Tolerance and the specific workshops I attended (PreK and K-2 Trophies) were a great help to me. I have never worked at a school with a PreK program, so it gave me an opportunity to learn ways I can support the program and further support the students as they transition into primary with the adopter reading series.

My first live Summer Leadership Academy was profound! I enjoyed learning from so many experienced administrators. Interaction Management-Coaching for Success with Wendy and Heather was so beneficial. I'll implement the key principles for the rest of my career. Thanks to all who made the event a success! Hope you're having a great year! (The best part is, I still have my HRD pen.)

Due to being a year round school our administrative staff was unable to stay for the entire leadership workshop. However, we did attend the first half of day 1 and luckily I was able to be a part of Mr. Notter's State of the District Address. As a first year AP this was not only extremely exciting for me, I was inspired by the words he shared in gearing us for the new year. Gathered with colleagues that were prepared for the new year, the charge in the room was positively a drive for success. I am proud to be a part of TEAM Broward and look forward to working in my new capacity as an AP ;0)

I attended two days of Zero Tolerance training at the Summer Leadership Academy. As a new AP, the sessions were extremely informative and detailed. As a result I am more aware of the changes in the Discipline Policy this year and more attuned on proactive and preventive actions that can be put in place in all schools. It was a great experience!

I attended the Using Data to Improve Student Achievement workshop and found it to be very informative. It gave all attendees an opportunity to see "best practices" at other schools and levels. Great job done by all.

I attended the Proactive Approach to Zero Tolerance training during the Summer Leadership Academy. While hesitant at first, I was glad that I was in this session. Through this training, I was able to gain some insight into how our actions have far reaching consequences for our students.

Excellent start to a new school year. I was fortunate to sign up for “Providing Focused & Sustained School-Based Professional Development”. Our work is focused on our stakeholders learning, their interpretation of text, their issues, their problem solving. We found out that Principals foster more powerful faculty and student learning by focusing on their own learning.
